There are certain elements of this northern-style Thai Yoga Massage that make it very different from other forms of massage. Sessions typically last 2 hours and are performed on a floor mattress in a calm environment. Clients wear loose, comfortable clothing throughout. No oils or lotions are used.
Therapists work in a meditative state using their hands, feet and elbows to apply pressure along the energy lines whilst moving the body into yoga-style stretches. A continuous flow of movement carried out in a slow rhythmic pace systematically works the entire body and encourages tension held within to be freed.
